What is Multiple Sclerosis?
Multiple Sclerosis is a central nervous disease. It occurs when the immune system unexpectedly attacks the nervous system. The cause is not yet known. Genetic and environmental factors are thought to play a role. In people with Multiple Sclerosis, the immune system attacks the protective wall around the nerves. When this layer, called myelin, is attacked, the nerves protected by it stop working. This unknown-caused condition creates some damages and symptoms, which is possible to control.
What Are the Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis?
Multiple Sclerosis has many different symptoms. Symptoms can vary from person to person. Over time, the dosage of symptoms may increase. The main symptoms are as follows;

Another test is optical coherence tomography. With this test, the thinness of the nerves in the posterior part of the eye is checked. Another test that can be done is the spinal tap test. This test allows the examination of spinal fluid. Blood tests are also necessary for the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.
