What is Tube Stomach Surgery?

How is Sleeve Gastrectomy Surgery Performed?
Gastric sleeve surgery is performed under anesthesia. It is applied with the laparoscopic method, one of the newest techniques. A single or more than one hole is made in the abdomen. Since these holes are tiny, they do not constitute an aesthetic concern. A calibration tube is placed at the stomach entrance, and this tube only sizes the stomach esophagus. The reason for placing a calibration tube is not to make the stomach too small during the surgery. In this way, excessive narrowing and obstruction do not occur while the stomach is reduced.
After precautions are taken, the stomach is cut with special cutting and closing tools. After the stomach reduction process is completed, the calibration tube is removed.
