The surgery takes one hour if there are no complications. In some special cases, this period may increase.
What Are the Risks of Penile Prosthesis Surgery?
Penile prosthesis is a microsurgical operation. For this reason, the risk of complications is low. The most common problem is infection. This should be taken into account after the operation. Another risk is the deterioration that may occur in the structure of the prosthesis transplanted into the body. In such a case, the patient may need surgical intervention again.
How Does the Post-Operative Process of the Penile Prosthesis Proceed?
After the operation, the patient should get used to the use of prosthesis. After this adaptation period, the success of the patient in sexual intercourse increases.
